بغداد اليوم - متابعة كشفت دراسة طبية حديثة، اليوم السبت ( 20 حزيران 2026 )، أن بعض أنماط النوم قد ترتبط بتسارع شيخوخة الدماغ وزيادة خطر الإصابة بالخرف ومرض ألزهايمر مع التقدم في العمر. وأشارت الدراسة، التي نشرت في مجلة أمريكية المتخصصة بأبحاث مرض ألزهايمر والخرف إلى أن "النوم لأقل من سبع ساعات يومياً أو لأكثر من تسع ساعات، إلى جانب الأرق وكثرة القيلولة خلال النهار، يرتبط بظهور مؤشرات على تلف تدريجي في الدماغ". واعتمد الباحثون من جامعة أريزونا بالتعاون مع جامعة جنوب كاليفورنيا على "تحليل بيانات أكثر من 23 ألف شخص من متوسطي العمر وكبار السن، مع متابعة استمرت نحو تسع سنوات باستخدام صور الرنين المغناطيسي واستبيانات خاصة بعادات النوم". وأظهرت النتائج أن "الأشخاص الذين ينامون لفترات قصيرة كانوا أكثر عرضة لتراكم ما يُعرف بـ(آفات المادة البيضاء)"، وهي تلفيات دماغية دقيقة ترتبط بزيادة خطر التدهور المعرفي والخرف مع مرور الوقت". وأكد الباحثون أن "النوم الصحي يلعب دوراً مهماً في الحفاظ على وظائف الدماغ"، مشيرين إلى أن "تحسين جودة النوم والالتزام بعدد ساعات كافٍ قد يسهمان في تقليل مخاطر التراجع الإدراكي المرتبط بالتقدم في العمر". المصدر: وكالات
